Under the leadership of Craig Meikle, who has called Niseko home for over two decades, our team combines extensive market expertise with genuine passion for this extraordinary mountain community. Craig Meikle is the founder of Niseko Realty, a boutique real estate and property development agency established in November 2015 to serve the fast-rising resort markets of Hokkaido with uncompromising integrity and results. Built around a community of like-minded local professionals, Niseko Realty focuses on premium homes, ski-in/ski-out condominiums, land, and development sites across the Niseko region—an approach that reflects Craig’s belief that great outcomes come from deep roots and long-term relationships.
Craig’s Niseko story stretches back to the mid-1990s, when he first came to Japan for the mountains and stayed for the lifestyle; decades later, that passion still underpins his hands-on leadership and encyclopedic market knowledge. Known for diligence, humility, and attention to detail, he has guided buyers, sellers, and developers through complex, high-value transactions with a steady focus on clarity and client care.
Under Craig’s leadership, Niseko Realty has represented and presented marquee projects to international audiences, bringing Niseko opportunities to gateway cities such as Hong Kong, and has become a trusted partner to both local and overseas investors. His work has been profiled across regional real-estate media, reinforcing a reputation for thoughtful project marketing and cross-border dealmaking.
Beyond Niseko, Craig expands his impact across Japan’s resort corridors, including the acquisition and stewardship of Hakuba Real Estate, where the same client-first ethos and network strength continue to deliver results. When he isn’t advising his trusted client, Craig is often outdoors either in the backcountry snowbmobiling or going low on the golf course.
On a personal note, Craig has been married to Ruri from Tokyo for 20 years. Together, they have two children, both with successful ski racing backgrounds, including their eldest son, an Olympian skier.
